Sam Rosen: Founder, Forbes 30 Under 30, and UVa Wahoo

We sit down with MakeSpace founder Sam Rosen to discuss his time at UVa and entrepreneurial experiences.

There’s no doubt that 2007 alum Sam Rosen is one of the most successful founders to graduate from UVa’s McIntire School of Commerce in recent history. He launched on-demand storage disruptor MakeSpace in 2013, which has since raised nearly $30M from top VCs and earned him a spot on Forbes’ coveted 30 Under 30. Well-spoken, highly ambitious, and insightful, Rosen is a commanding force; but, in catching up with him at the 2016 Tom Tom Founders Festival, we also experienced just how genuine and down-to-earth this star CEO is at his core. Perhaps the best word to describe Sam is authentic.

Watch as our Director Brian Mitchell sits down with Sam on Charlottesville’s downtown mall to discuss his time at McIntire, his leadership style, and most importantly, whether he thinks he takes the title of UVa’s most attractive tech CEO.
