From Student Project to International Film Festival

The story of Flight of the Finch.

What does it take to make an independent film? Last year The Pioneer sat down with Alex Jones, the director and creative mind behind the film – “Flight of the Finch.” Alex talked us through the challenges and successes of producing a student film leading up to the premiere. Since our interview, three different film festivals across the country (Cinema Bayou, Portsmouth International Film Festival, and Great Lakes International Film Festival) have gone on to feature Alex’s directorial debut.  Listen here for her thoughts on the process of submitting to film festivals:
